Hometown FCU has become aware that members with Home Equity Loans may be receiving post cards such as the one shown below.  These post cards are NOT from Hometown Federal Credit Union, and we DO NOT endorse the Mortgage Protection Insurance that they are trying to sell.

Mortgages are public record and Companies will pull this information and send out solicitations for insurance products.

The small print in the bottom right corner of the card states: “All loan information is obtained from public records. Not affiliated with, endorsed by and information not provided by Hometown FCU or any government agency or lending institution.  For additional assistance please contact MP Service Center at (888)-778-5764.  This is a solicitation for insurance, and you may be contacted  by a local insurance agent.”
